7 People To Watch

The QTIPOC Scene is ablaze with talent, from fashionistas, poets to witty podcast hosts and inspirational athletes. Here is a list of people who are making great strides and set to make huge waves over the next coming year.

Rosh Payne

If you need some style tips, Rosh is definitely one to watch! Rosh has been gracing the London fashion scene for a number of years in her stylish tailored suits. Catch her spinning some beats every Friday at the W London hotel and be sure to have a look at her YouTube series called Oh My Gosh Rosh where she explores the world of men’s fashion and grooming.

Corinne Humphreys

London bred sprinter Corinne Humphreys competed in the 100 meters at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and reached the semi-finals. She was also a World university games 100m finalist 2017. An ambassador for Grenade, Corinne has a lot to celebrate as a new University graduate and I personally cannot wait to see what she has in store for the world to see. The LGBT Urban Charts

The LGBT Urban Charts based in New York has been doing some great work highlighting some hidden gems within the LGBT+ community. From the likes of Siya, Aina Brei’Yon to Ziggy and newly found artists (to me anyway) Blimes and Gifted Gab the charts cater to all musical tastes. Kai

Kai Isaiah Jamal has been lighting up the world of poetry and spoken word with his thought-provoking words and dazzling performances. Nominated as one of the 100 LBGT+ trailblazers refining the creative industry, Kai has become well-known for speaking about and supporting QTIPOC. He has become a role model by embracing who he is expressing both his feminine and masculine sides within the context of his poetry. He has also been a cover boy of girlsgirlsgirlszine, collaborated with ID magazine and most recently performed a set about self-care, love and protection at ICA London (Institute of Contemporary Arts).

 

Josh

One half of popular podcast Basic Biscuits, Josh has been lightening up the scene with his quick witty comments and humorous tone. Discussing topics from cultural appropriation to playing games such as would you rather, Basic Biscuits is set to take the podcast scene by storm. Catch Josh and Carina (the other half of BB) every Wednesday on Soundcloud and iTunes.

Kenny Jones

Model, investor, creative and activist, Kenny is one to watch! He has an upcoming film project which will explore various issues including what it means to be transgender and intersex. Kenny has also collaborated with Shortlist magazine speaking about coming out as transgender and modelled for River Island’s Love not labels campaign. With more projects and collaborations on the way, Kenny is showing no signs of stopping.

Two Twos

Newcomers to the YouTube world, Rosie and Nana are here to shake things up. Two Twos discuss the issues they feel strongly about, especially issues pertaining to the LGBTQIA community with a candid and comedic approach. This dynamic duo are sure to evoke some powerful and interesting conversations watch their videos on YouTube.
