What does a typical day look like for you?
I wake at 7:00am and either do the Insanity workout for 30 minutes or start planning my day. I have a shower breakfast and then leave for work. I start work at 9:00am. My full time job is in architecture, I work at Platform 5 Architects. My days vary depending on what deadlines are looming. I am currently working on a housing development in Whitechapel which is really exciting as its my first. As senior architect I am the first point of contact for the project. I coordinate and manage the design team as well as my own team in the office. I generally finish work at 6:00pm and either go home and make dinner or eat out.
When I get home my second job begins. I check my emails for Chalk, and organise any orders that have been placed. I am in bed by 11:00pm. On weekends I tend to make my jewellery so that when orders are made the jewellery is ready for shipping.
Why did you start Chalk Jewellery?
I was inspired at university by the techniques I was using to create my architectural models. I thought these skills could be transferred into making jewellery pieces.
Whose work ethic inspires you and why?
My mother. I’ve seen how hard she has worked to be successful in her field.

I love being a designer and creating pieces that people enjoy wearing. Other loves: fashion, architecture and food. Love cats.

Cucumber, banana, watermelon and bad weaves!
What do you do to relax?
I like to read and watch my programmes to relax during the week. On weekends I enjoy spending the day outdoors going to markets or exhibitions to get inspiration.

Most memorable moment?
White water rafting in Thailand, it was so exhilarating!
Childhood dream vs Adult dream
